    Another innovative feature of the new Easy Series is the “Rotary Switch”: the selector through which it is possible, with extreme easiness, to program, modify and set section by section all those parameters intended for the system running.

    GEAR MOTOR
    The applicators are fitted with variable speed AC motors controlled by inverter positioned horizontally so as to have reduced overall dimensions and ease to access both for inspection and maintenance, thanks to a quick connector and to an easy to open body system.

    GLUE FILTER
    Easy to access and replace, it ensures a better distribution of the adhesive preventing the nozzle clogging due to the presence of impurities in the adhesive.

    AIR DRYING SYSTEM
    An innovative automatic air drying system (provided as standard and connected to the applicator with a quick coupling connector) removes the air from the tank and replaces it with inert gas or dehumidified dry air to prevent oxidation and thus prevent that the product react irreversibly, in a very brief time, upon contact with humidity in the air.

    PRESSURE CONTROL DEVICE
    A sophisticated control system shows on the applicator display the adhesive output pressure in the manifold. This visualization is comparable to a traditional digital pressure gauge indicating the adhesive pressure in bar.

    HIGH PRECISION GEAR PUMP
    With the same dimensions it is possible to choose between gear pumps of different capacity. Absolute precision and reliability, they are made of super-quick steel and are fully hardened. Like all the inside parts of the applicator, also the pump is easy to remove in case of maintenance or replacement.

    QUICK PRESSURE RELEASE AND REGULATION VALVE
    It keeps the pressure set constant and ensures the utmost safety during the system use by and releasing the adhesive pressure into the system in an automatic and safe manner, even in the event of an emergency.

  • EASY Series UBM Applicators

    Description

    UBM Easy Series: The first and only ZERO MAINTENANCE applicators in the world for Polyurethane Reactive (PUR) adhesives in cartridges.

    The UBM Easy Series of applicators with “melt on demand” technology provides the ideal solution for melting and applying small quantities of PUR adhesives in a variety of sectors such as paper-transformation, bookbinding, textiles, and assembly. These highly innovative applicators are easy to use and flexible enough to adapt to different production needs, with low impact maintenance operations and costs. The applicators are quickly installed and easily programmed, with suitable security standards. Exceptional reliability and complete integration into any existing automatic line guarantee great application versatility that helps increase productivity and reduce the amount of wasted adhesive. The new microprocessor manages all system operations from thermoregulation of the various sections to programming glue lines. Other specifications are: Economy function, Clock, Weekly Program, Automatic ON-OFF function, Over-Temperature Alarm, Delayed Cut-out for Temperature Set Point, and Heating Cycle Management.

    LCD DISPLAY AND INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING
    This feature provides images of all sections of the machine (tank, pipes, and guns) and the relevant parameters, making it extremely simple to program the system even for non-specialist personnel. There are no problems involving codes or foreign languages to interpret. A notification area constantly and dynamically monitors the machine’s status. Specific messages are displayed for alarms, errors and malfunctions. A rotary switch is used to set all system parameters very easily.

    PUR CARTRIDGES
    The system uses mono-component PUR adhesive cartridges with a diameter of 125-150 mm and maximum height 200 mm. The cartridge fits directly into the tank with its aluminum inliner and there is no need to add inert gas or dried air. This procedure prevents harmful vapors from being released during the cartridge change phase – a simple, quick and completely safe procedure, thanks to a special system.

    ZERO MAINTENANCE
    All parts of the applicator can be inspected easily because of a practical body design system that opens quickly to facilitate cleaning, especially around the pressure plate area. Thanks to this innovative construction method the entire plant requires almost no maintenance, with clear savings in terms of time and money.

    Description

    The Bulkmelter 20 Series melt on demand drum unloaders are intended for direct extrusion from drums of EVA based, Pressure Sensitive, Polyethylene, Polyamide, and Polyurethane adhesives and Mastics in general, for both manual and automatic applications. Designed for large-scale production, in order to meet the ever more sophisticated needs, they come in a 20 liter (5 gallon) configuration and are fitted with high pressure gear pumps with different flow rates and a safety valve, in order to guarantee absolute feed precision under all usage conditions, both continuous and intermittent. A new microprocessor controls all the operations necessary for the system to operate: thermo-regulation of the various sections, programming control of 8 glue lines for each of the 4 independent channels.     ELEVATOR WITH PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS
    An elevator with two pneumatic cylinders for raising and lowering the heating pressure plate is used for changing the drum, which significantly reduces machine costs and down times due to refilling. The start cycle process is controlled by a two-hand activation system to ensure that the operator is totally safe and the refilling operation is then completed automatically once the flat pressure gasket is at the beginning of the drum. An automatic air discharge function simplifies drum changing operations.

    The extruders are fitted with high precision gear pumps. Within the same size, pumps are available with flow rates that differ, depending on the adhesive used and the melt required.     A centring system guarantees precise, accurate positioning of the drum, reducing waste to a minimum and allowing almost all the adhesive it contains to be used. The extruder is also fitted with a drum detection sensor, a level sensor that indicates when the drum is finished, and an optional second sensor that can be adjusted to indicate when the drum is running out.

    PRESSURE PLATE WITH “ON DEMAND” MELTING SYSTEM

All these plates have a no-scratch no-stick surface in PTFE that makes cleaning and maintenance operations fast and simple, while preventing carbonization that would damage the system.

    PRESSURE PLATE ELEVATOR WITH PNEUMATIC-HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
    The pneumatic-hydraulic drive that raises and lowers the heating pressure plate makes it possible to change drums, significantly reducing costs and machine down-time due to refilling.     Description

    The MILLENNIUM M30 Series of hotmelt applicators were designed for the application of EVA, Polyamide, Polyester and high viscosity Pressure Sensitive adhesives. They were developed for large scale production applications; and are available in a variety of configurations so that they can satisfy even the most demanding requirements of capacity, viscosity, temperature and type of adhesive. The applicators are equipped with 30 kg tanks all of which incorporate Preo’s innovative progressive melting system which eliminates environmental contamination and carbonization, therefore enabling you to achieve production optimization. Preo’s progressive melting system is also coated with a special high temperature scratch-resistant PTFE non-stick surface, this prevents the glue from forming films that could be quickly transformed into carbonaceous residues, which cause premature wear and operational difficulties. The temperature is monitored in 3 different heating zones (pre-melting device, tank and manifold) in order to ensure greater application accuracy. Attention to design detail enables the glue filter to be easily reached and replaced. A combination of better adhesive distribution and the Preo progressive melt system prevents the nozzle from blocking due to adhesive residues. The MILLENNIUM series is fitted with 1 or 2 high precision single or double flow rate gear pumps, the adhesive output is controlled via a potentiometer which is conveniently located on the front panel, this controls the speed of an alternating current motor via an inverter placed inside the switchboard. The latest generation of microprocessors control the thermoregulation and the distribution of the adhesive up to a maximum of 4 hoses. The following options are also available: MILLENNIUM HT version for high temperature requirements up to 250°C, low level adhesive control, quick release valve (not available on HT version), adhesive control pressure gauge and roller kit for ease of handling.
